TEN KEYS to Becoming A Good Keeper At Home

1. Acknowledge and accept God's will.

"Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is." Ephesians 5:17

2. Be dedicated and commited to God's will.

"I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart." Psalm 40:8

3. Walk in the Spirit (keep close to God).
"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." Galatians 5:16

4. Have your priorities in order.

"Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves." Romans 15:1,2,3

5. Be organized.

"Let all things be done decently and in order." I Corinthians 14:40

6. Learn from older (Godly) women.

"The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed." Titus 2:3,4,5

7. Read encouraging literature

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4:8

8. Fellowship with like-minded people

"Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another." Romans 14:19

9. Enjoy the home that God has provided for you.

"Rejoice evermore. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."  I Thessalonians 5:16, 18

10. Enjoy your husband and children.

"
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all."  Proverbs 31: 28,29

"Holy Ground"

It may be on a kitchen floor,
Or in a busy shopping store,
Or teaching, nursing, day by day,
Till limb and brain almost give way,
Yet if there by Jesus thou art found,
The place thou standest is Holy Ground.

My Ministry

"...One statement filled me with hope. If God wants you to be a homemaker, and you spend your days washing dishes, and changing dirty diapers, they by fulfilling His plan for your life, you are worshipping God.  I had been working so hard to find ways to serve God outside of and excluding my family. When I finally realized that God doesn't require me to fulfill every need I see, and that my family IS my ministry. I was able to rejoice...."  -Clipped from an magazine; copied.

Return to Bethel

It seems like every time I think I have settled my blogs and websites in a "new" home, the new place turns out to be not so hot. This is what happened again. Whew! I am really thankful that I didn't delete this blog when I was going to, or I'd have to begin from scratch again.

Over the next little while, I will be adding pages and moving articles and post back to blogger. I apologize for the craziness of all this.

When I began my website at geocities, I suppose that I thought it would be able to stay there forever. But geocities died off, and I was left with a website, at least it was smallish, to relocate. I hoped to use the same server/host as our church website, but that didn't work out very well. I've spend hours fighting with their "error refresh page" messages, or their "website cannot be found" to put hair on the baldest person you ever met.

So here I am, "returning to bethel".
