Today is Thursday

In our homeschool we are studying the solar system. Several times in the past we have attempted notebooking, but it was a dismal failure. Never one to give up on making fun, and tired of books and boredom myself, we've given it another try.

There is a great deal of help on the web, but the best one I found was http://www.squidoo.com/lapbooking/ There are hundreds of links for anything you might want or need to do lapbooks.

The great thing about lapbooks is that they allow your children freedom to artfully learn about a topic, have fun, and in the end, not only will they/do they retain more information, but they feel a deep sense of accomplishment with their work of art.

If you are looking for a break from the norm, I highly recommend you give lapbooks a try.
